DC's song/poem "Footsteps and Floorboards" received the Sliver Prize (2nd Place) in the 2023 Songwriters Association of Washington (SAW) annual songwriting contest in the Lyrics category. The song addresses the mindset of a terminally ill person going through the final transition from this world to the next.

DC performs an R.E.M. tribute show called REMind: Acoustic for the People. REMind is an acoustic performance of classic R.E.M. songs going back to their early days when they emerged from Athens, Georgia. From Radio Free Europe, to So.
